We Need to Support These Businesses

A couple new restaurants recently opened in Northside, Melt and Gajah Wong.

Melt is owned by my neighbor. She tries to be as vegetarian as possible, and what meats she uses is hormone and all that other bad stuff free.

I'm shocked to say I absolutely love their food. Who woulda thought vegan chili could be so tasty? The other night I had a vegan cheesesteak, and while not my favorite, it wasn't bad. The artichoke melt is very yummy, but I suspect it's also very fatty. I also had the vegetarian french onion soup. At first I was so-so on it, but by the time I was done it really grew on me.

Top it off by a monstrous cupcake they get from Take the Cake.

I highly recommend it. Credit cards accepted.

Haven't been to the following, but hey, we've got the city's only Indonesian restaurant! Yay!
